The European Union (EU) has pursued the development and implementation of a series of regulatory measures in the area of sustainable
finance since 2016. Most of these measures were triggered by the EU.
Commission Action Plan: Financing Sustainable Growth, commonly referred to as the EU Action Plan on Sustainable Finance, which has put
into motion a series of processes aimed at introducing voluntary market standards as well as mandatory legal obligations.
